Restorative Remedies is committed to formulating our line of natural supplements not just from the highest-quality natural ingredients available but in the potencies and combinations that amplify the effectiveness of those ingredients. Whenever possible, our formulations are all gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. And we insist that all Restorative Remedies’ supplements meet strict professional-grade, ultra-pure standards as determined by our medical director and world-renowned rheumatologist, Dr. Alex Shikhman, MD, PhD.
Generally, supplements should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after meals. But there are exceptions. Always check the description of each and every supplement from our store for specific recommendations regarding its consumption.
For acute discomfort, we recommend a two-week regimen using the Releviate Plus™ product. After the initial treatment period, you should switch to the long-term maintenance supplement, Releviate™. Both products contain high-quality and high-potency Devil’s Claw and have been formulated to work in the time sequence described here.
If it helps you with your joint discomfort, then the answer is obviously “yes.” Unfortunately, clinical data has demonstrated that glucosamine only benefits a very small group of patients who have so-called inflammatory knee osteoarthritis. The majority of knee pain sufferers who take glucosamine have a placebo effect meaning that you can drink water and get better as well. The ingredients which more efficiently relieve joint discomfort include high-potency Devil’s claw, fish oil, black currant oil, MSM, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, rose hip extract and others. Restorative Remedies uses these ingredients in formulating our supplements.
Professional grade means that we have applied pharmaceutical standards to the manufacturing process, optimized concentrations of active ingredients and improved the final product formulations to improve efficacy.
Although our supplements should be kept in a cool, dark and dry place, refrigeration is not necessary, except for the Probiotic formula. Probiotic is delivered overnight in a cold-pack and should be kept in the refrigerator to ensure potency and effectiveness.
Formulated from natural ingredients, many of our supplements are intended to become a regular part of your combined health routine — diet, exercise, conditioning, and taking supplements. Because we know you’re interested in attaining and maintaining optimal health through an ongoing daily regimen, even a temporary lapse may compromise your health. We encourage you to stick with the program that works for you. Our continuity program — available for most of the supplements in our line — ensures that you won’t miss out on the healthful properties of our products, even for a day. The continuity program is easy to set up when you place your first order. And it’s just as easy to change later on.
We do not recommend taking our supplements in amounts exceeding those specified on the label. If you are considering taking more than the recommended amount, please contact your health practitioner for advice and supervision.
Different products bestow health benefits at different rates. Although there are a few products that have been formulated to address acute situations — like Throb Ease and Releviate Plus™ for discomfort — most dietary supplements and herbs have a slow mode of action. It may take from two to four weeks before you notice a difference. Our supplements have been designed to rebuild health and to restore physical functioning over time, in combination with other aspects of your health regimen like diet and exercise.
Generally, food supplements and herbs are considered to be safer than prescription drugs. However, similar to prescription drugs, the frequency and magnitude of adverse reactions are proportional to the biological strength and the amounts of the consumed supplements. Our website contains information regarding potential side effects associated with the listed ingredients. If you are dealing with adverse or allergic reactions you feel might be associated with a consumed product, please contact your health care provider immediately and notify us.
At Restorative Remedies, we’ve tried to take the mystery, the guesswork, and the excessive expense out of the process of selecting natural supplements that will work for you. We know you’re serious about your health and we’ve developed a set of innovative diagnostic tools — the Personal Supplement Adviser and the Written Test, both available on the website — to help you assess your own condition and select the natural ingredients that can best address your condition.
Yes, you can. However, you should contact your health / medical care provider to check for potential drug-supplement interactions.
Although we offer supplements which can be used in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, we cannot provide you with any specific recommendations without physically examining you and looking at your radiographic data, laboratory test results, etc. You should contact your medical / health care provider to discuss this issue.
The typical shelf life of the supplements is two years.
No. GLUTEN-BREAKING ENZYMES will not protect you from the harmful consequences associated with consuming large amounts of gluten — like you’d find in bread and pasta. If you have gluten intolerance, you should completely avoid obvious sources of gluten. GLUTEN-BREAKING ENZYMES are designed to protect you from accidental exposure to gluten (as well as casein and soy protein). For example, let’s say you are going out to dinner with friends and, even though you choose carefully from the menu, you can’t be sure if the food you eat is completely gluten-free. In this situation, you could take two capsules of gluten-breaking enzymes 10 minutes before your meal and then again right after your meal. This should protect you from the side effects you would typically experience from ingesting gluten, soy or casein.
